We encourage our guests to thoroughly explore grounds and make themselves completely at home.

We strive to be self sufficient in vegetables and eggs and in times of plenty, these are available for our guests at a nominal charge. Children (and grown ups) are encouraged to collect their egg for breakfast; help in the garden; groom the ponies; feed the chicken and immerse themselves in as much country life as they wish.

Newmoor Park is a place for escapism - whether that is wandering the grounds; reading a book whilst gently rocking in a hammock; skimming stones on the river; making a camp; collecting food for the table; picnic-ing or creating adventure on the treehouse - or setting off after breakfast to explore the Tamar Valley, north Cornish coast, Dartmoor or the far wild-West.

At this time of year, February 2012, it's jolly chilly, but the grounds are still special to explore

Looking Up River

The Veggie Patch in Spring.  Here we have raised beds and a most productive polytunnel.

Below the Veggie Patch is Patch Meadow with a very beautiful lime tree in the middle and the Arboretum alongside.

Summer views......Parkland, a long stretch of land edged by trees and most suitable for croquet and children's racing games!

The Embankment is what is left of the original railway line running from Launceston to Okehampton

and below this, River Meadow a wide expanse of grassland with several access points to the river.

Beside the river, it is just lovely.

And there's always the opportunity to play or chill at the treehouse
