Newmoor Park is privately situated about 2.5 miles from Launceston just off the A388

Launceston was the capital of Cornwall, complete with Assizes, until it was usurped by Bodmin in the 18th Century, which in turn was demoted in favour of Truro, the only city in Cornwall (granted by Queen Victoria in 1877).

In Launceston, the remains of the 11th century castle stand over the town's winding streets filled with independent shops and places of interest such as the Lawrence House Museum and the ornate St Mary Magdalene church.  Alongside the ancient architecture, the town has some fine Georgian buildings.

Situated beside the River Tamar, we are well and truly in the Tamar Valley an area of outstanding natural beauty and a very central position for exploring the countryside, towns and attractions of Cornwall and Devon.

Following the four points of the compass travel north along country roads to rugged North Cornwall to discover hidden coves and unbelievably beautiful beaches; or south to the tiny but thriving fishing villages of Polperro or Mevagissey; heading East or West you will find city culture in Exeter or Truro.  At all points in between there are hidden gems and experiences to discover such as the wilderness of Dartmoor; the adrenaline rush of tree-surfing; the rainforest in Eden; seafishing from myriad ports along either coastline; and countless tourist attractions.
